Ruyati beheading, A Humanitarian Tragedy

The case of the death of labor Ruyati Indonesia (TKI) that killed the Saudi Arabian government beheaded some time ago for murdering her employer is a humanitarian tragedy in the country of employment.

However, above this tragedy and could not blame the Islamic law that the Saudi government held firm. Death Ruyati GOI absolute error of failing to protect its citizens working abroad.

"Therefore do not protest against Islamic law, because it is already a consequence of Islamic criminal law that we must accept and respect. But to convey a strong protest to the government of Indonesia that does not care about the fate of the heroes of foreign exchange," the chairman expressed the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Habib Muhammad Rizieq bin Hussein Shihab to Legal, Thursday (06/23/2011).

Rizieq explained, the execution by beheading by the executioner in fact can be avoided by four roads, as the ordinances of Islam are sublime.

"First, there should be amicably intensive approach by the Embassy in Saudi Arabia to the families of the victims in order to receive forgiveness so that invalidated the death penalty with the apology," said Rizieq.

He added that a second path which can be taken ie the shari'ah. True Ruyati accompanied by a lawyer or a reliable lawyer provided by the government of Indonesia to defend Ruyati during their legal proceedings in the trial.

"Because if the murder was committed in self-defense then there is no qishosh," he continued.

While the third way that can be taken to avoid punishment according Rizieq qishosh lobby level is high between the President with the King of Saudi Arabia.

"Fourth, any way that is successful then the government of Indonesia should be able to prepare his diyat payment in lieu qishosh. Well, four things are not done by the government in Ruyati case, because the government itself admitted he just knew after being executed," he explained.

Therefore further Rizieq, legal protection of migrant workers is still very weak, could even be said there is no protection.

"And the workers we went to Saudi for work, not to kill. But because there are a variety of violence, torture, persecution, rape, and murder that often happen to them, so there is a reckless killing a cruel mistress," he explained.

This is a slap Ruyati case for the Indonesian government to assume more human all the workers who work abroad. GoI sigapnya not of course be in the future to countries where migrant workers work treats workers poorly, meaning it was likely Ruyati-Ruyati others will face the same thing.
